Machine Maintenance Guide

One of the most important things you can do for your espresso machine is to keep it properly cleaned and maintained. Keeping your espresso machine clean and keeping up on the basic maintenance will extend the life of your machine and keep it running at its best and it will also save you money on expensive service calls down the line.

Daily

  1. back flush machine at the end of the day (ask us for instructions if you are unsure of how to do this)
  2. let group handles soak overnight in a solution of purocaf and hot water
  3. clean off steam wand, before and after using, with damp cloth and purge wand to release steam
  4. remove tray and rinse with hot water

Bi-annually

  1. change screens and seals
  2. have water filters changed
  3. have machine inspected and have steam valves inspected/rebuilt
  4. check your espresso grinder burrs- these need to be replaced on average about every 1000-1500 pounds of coffee.
